After Breakfast – visit Bhaktapur which is known locally as Khwopa is a city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. Bhaktapur is also known as Bhadgaun. This city, rich in ancient arts, religious values, fabulous cultural traditions, architectural masterpieces and ancient sculptures, is also known as an open museum. Moreover, the city is also famous as a city of gods. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a former royal palace complex located in Bhaktapur, Nepal. After the visit of Bhaktapur Durbar Square drive to Nagarkot. Upon reaching start Hiking to Dhulikhel from Nagarkot with the professional guide. After Hiking to Dhulikhel drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel Kathmandu
Day 3
Kathmandu (B)
After breakfast drive to Swyambhunath Temple which is also known as the monkey temple. From where you can have the marvelous view of the Kathmandu city. Swyambhunath, or the Monkey temple as it is often referred to, is located on the top of a hill west of Kathmandu, and consists of a main (huge) stupa surrounded by Hindu and Buddhist temples and monuments of great cultural and historical importance. After the visit of Swyambhunath sightseeing proceeds for the Pashupatinath Temple. Pashupatinath temple is also known as "The temple of Living Beings”. The temple is famous for its awe-inspiring and astounding pagoda architecture. The two level roofs of the temple are embellished with gold and the four main doors are silver. The western door has statue of a large bull ornamented in gold, Nandi. This black stone idol, about 6 feet height and circumference ads to the beauty and charisma of the temple. Believers in Pashupatinath. Mainly Hindus are allowed to enter the temple premised. Non - Hindu visitor are allowed to have a look at the temple the opposite bank of Bagmati River. After the visit of Pashupatinath Temple sightseeing proceeds for Kathmandu Durbar Square. KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE, A UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of three squares within Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. Durbar Square (durbar translates to “palace” or “a court held by a prince”) is an important site for Buddhist and Hindu rituals, holy ceremonies, royal events, and kingly coronations. Surrounded by fountains, ancient statues, small ponds, and a series of courtyards such as Mohan Chok and Sundari Chok, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a meditative, religious site for spiritual seekers. Within the inner complex of Durbar Square is the site of the Old Royal Palaces (referred to as the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex). The Royal Palaces used to house the kings of the Shah and Malla Dynasty, who ruled over the city until the 19th-century. After the visit of Kathmandu Durbar Square drive back to Hotel.
